Advisory

Your fractional MarTech advisor.

MarTech (marketing technology) is my strength. I work with companies and business owners on an ongoing basis to plan their marketing technology, make better decisions about it, and implement it well.

Who this is for.

Companies that want someone experienced guiding their marketing technology, without a full-time hire
Companies launching a new platform, product, or expansion that needs the right technology behind it
Consulting firms and agencies that need MarTech expertise for their clients
Business owners who want an ongoing strategic partner, not one-off fixes

What the role looks like.

Think of what a fractional CTO or CMO does, focused on marketing technology. Less rolling up my sleeves, more big strategy, big implementation, and big ideas, with hands-on work when it counts.

01

Strategy and planning

The big picture of how your marketing technology supports your goals, and a plan to get there.

02

Better tool decisions

Which tools to choose, which to keep, and which to cut, so you're building on the right foundation.

03

Implementation and migration

Planning implementations and migrations so changes happen in the right order, with fewer surprises.

04

AI in your company

Using AI better across your company, including building integrations with it to reach your MarTech goals.

05

Your team and your clients

Meetings with your team, and conversations with your clients when that's what the work needs.

06

Hands-on when it counts

I'll work with you to implement your systems where that's the best use of my time.

An audit or a plan can be part of it, but this is an ongoing advisory relationship, not a one-time project.

Two examples of what this looks like.

Every engagement is shaped around the company. Here's how two of them might look.

Example engagement

The strategic partner

A company that wants an experienced voice in its marketing technology decisions.

  • Regular strategy calls
  • Joining team meetings
  • Guidance as decisions come up
  • Some hands-on implementation
Example engagement

The stack overhaul

A company changing the tools it runs on, and wanting to use AI better along the way.

  • Speaking with their clients
  • Choosing the right tools
  • Planning implementation and migration
  • Building integrations using AI
  • Using AI across the company

25 years of marketing and technology.

I've been building online since 2001. I spent years at corporate agencies working on projects for Fortune 100 companies, and I've founded and run agencies of my own ever since.

One of them, MDME, works with medical practices and providers across every major specialty. So I understand how marketing technology works in the medical industry, and what it takes to grow a practice.

But my work touches every kind of company: lawyers, accountants, authors, nutrition companies, logistics and shipping companies, fintech and adtech, and large consulting firms.

And since 2017, I've been teaching all of it publicly at Convology, so you can see exactly how I think before we ever talk.
